Art Anecdotes
Just a few memories of creating, making art, and appreciating other people's art

Presently I am living in a very remote northern Manitoba location and I am teaching Grade 1 and 2 full time and doing some art work on the weekends. The temperature is much the same as Winnipeg where I also have a home. The snow here is quite beautiful. I love the sound of my boots making crunching noises as I walk and I hear their echo following me and making me believe there is someone close behind me when actually there is no one.The snow is clean and does not have the dirt and grime that city streets have when the plow builds hills of scraped up snow and the warmth of the pavement from cars melts the snow and makes brown slush.
The community here is very small and numbering about 600 and the complete opposite of when I was living in Dhaka, Bangladesh and their streets were overflowing with pedestrians and rickshaws and wagons and vehicles of every sort imaginable. Yet in both places the people I meet as I walk to the chosen store are polite and courteous.Of course there are only two stores here- the Northern and Dojos.

Good morning from the beautiful centre of Canada-Winnipeg, Manitoba. The summer has certainly pleased me because I am happy with high temperatures and it has rained so much at odd times that the city is full of intense green foliage and a wide variety of blooms coloring our city, I live on a street with many trees on the boulevards so it is like walking down an avenue of arched branches formed a canopy and at night there is mystery and soft lights shining from homes. I live close to the down town so i can walk a lot and frequently i walk 10,000- 15,000 steps per day.
lately I have been painting buffalo themes.

travelling soon
Feeling excited about by new life in a foreign country but I will explain later. I started packing and I found a wonderful person to stay in my home in Winnipeg and pay a reduced rent and take care of my beauties Mac and Sugar. the downsize is missing my beautiful grandchildren and of course David and Deidre.
The internet is so frustrating. it says that my password does not work and then I receive a text to change my password and then when I use the new password it says the user name does not work .Then I have to go to another mail site to get the proper user name and it keeps going in a neverending circle when I should be sleeping away and dreaming of unicorns prancing in a magical forest and a bullmoose wading in a pool beside a beaver lodge.
