i AM POSTING MY OWN COMMENT.I was doing research on adroids and found these modified leaves to be so attractive and interesting and in my head -you know my artistic brain thing-I saw the leaves floating and landing and forming islands in a gentle ocean with waters lapping on the coast line and new communities being built and the turtle making his own observations. Well -that's it.
I have another drawing in place and hope to paint today.I would also recommend a book called Adroids by Deni Brown. In this book you will find all you ever wanted to know about these plants. There are also fantastic photographs.
