more testing

Dr. Kaita and his very pleasant assistant said there is an indication of a malformation in my liver. This is causing the fistula. In about four weeks Dr. Mckay will do surgery to look further and to repair it.Plus I need another ultrasound.

I am having eye surgery on November 24th. Plus I am seeing Dr. Kaita on this Friday.

How am I feeling

I have some of the same issues I had when I was on medication such as tiredness that does not make sense, forgetfulness, not remembering something I said a few moments before, and when I use the computer I feel unable to complete my original agenda.Nightmares are an added feature.
My appetite has improved.
GWL is reviewing my claim because it will move into stage 2 beyond your own occupation to any occupation but within my range of background and education and pay 50% of my gross monthly wages pre-disability( if hypothetically I could return to work) so Dr. Kaita is sending in necessary test results and I will get copies. My Canada Life has been renewed.My cpp disability continues.

Beyond the Epidemics.

I went to the conference and it was a positive experience to get away and to do something different and useful.It was alot to absorb in two days. The first speaker Walter really got my attention. He being in a musical field to becoming a social worker had made a difference in his life from being in the arts community to becoming a social worker.Because I had not been at a conference like that before I had very high expectations and most speakers met my expectation. More later.

ct scan

On September 23rd I am having a ct scan - for the expert technicians to evaluate my liver in greater detail and perhaps to deal with a liver fistula. Then on the next evening I am travelling to Regina to attend a conference called Beyond the Epidemics.It will be a good experience for me.The Hep c support group is paying for the expenses of the trip.


When I and other people with chronic health conditions feel discouraged about not working because of our disability I feel encouraged by this information I found on the internet. It is far too complicated to go back to work when I have other related conditions as well namely, vasculitis, cryoglobulenimia,(did I spell that right), a liver fistula-we think, and dry skin, and fatigue and lack of concentration.
