Seeing Dr. Kaita

Dr. Kaita will be telling me the results of the MRI tomorrow. Then Deidre will be finally home after her long vacation in Nova Scotia.I am so happy to be home from B.C. it is great to be home and see all my cats and the hamsters and of course My family David and the grandchildren. I saw Cora briefly.
Purple
The richness of red
The royalty of blue
I see it on the close fitting gloves of the lab technician
I see it faintly expressed on the his professional collar
I see it brightly papering around the fuse bottle
I see a light touch of purple on the tip of the needle container releasing my blood into the capsule
My blood is going on its journey for its platelet test
My lacy pattern on my skin reveals tiny purple capillaries stretching spider like along my legs
The blood test shouts out the tale of cryoglobulins
I say, “Cry,” and glob away from me
I will not view the purple stains and shapes bruising my legs
And what of the faded purple spleen and the magenta colored liver?

appointment

My appointment at cancer care was mostly about an investigation concerning why my patelets and white blood cells are so low. are they hiding in enlarged spleen. So they will be reviewing my files form the other doctors and maybe doing a bone marrow biopsy.
