cell phones in schools
I DO NOT AGREE THAT CELL PHONES SHOULD BE BANNED IN HIGHSCHOOLS. I BELIEVE THEY ARE A SAFETY FEATURE IN CASE THERE IS AN EMERGENCY. A CELL PHONE IS A TOOL OF MODERN SOCIETY. YES THEY SHOULD BE TURNED OFF DURING CLASS TIME AND PUT ON VIBRATION. RESPONSIBLE PEOPLE WILL DO THIS. GIVE HIGHSCHOOL STUDENTS SOME CREDIT. THEY MUST KNOW THAT IF THEY ARE TEXT MESSAGING DURING CLASS TIME THEN THEY ARE NOT FOCUSING OR PAYING ATTENTION TO THE INSTRUCTOR BUT TAKING AWAY THE CELL PHONE WILL NOT SOLVE THAT PROBLEM-VERY LIKELY THOSE SAME STUDENTS WILL BE THE IRRESPONSIBLE ONES UNDER MOST CIRCUMSTANCES.IF THEY ARE UNWILLING TO LISTEN TO THE TEACHER WHEN HE IS PRESENTING INFORMATION THEN THE CONSEQUENCE WILL BE LOWER MARKS FOR THEM OR NO CREDITS-THEY WILL PAY FOR THEIR LACK OF RESPONSIBILITY IN THIS WAY. I AM AN OLDER MOTHER AND I HAVE A HEALTH CONDITION-I WOULD LIKE TO BE ABLE TO CALL MY DAUGHTER WHO IS IN HIGHSCHOOL UNDER SPECIAL CONDITIONS AND HER CELL PHONE VIBRATING COULD BE A SIGNAL TO GET IN TOUCH WITH ME QUICKLY. BUT DEFINITELY THE CELLS PHONES SHOULD NOT BE RINGING AND STUDENTS SHUOLD NOT BE TALKING DURING CLASS TIMES.

victory log
I went to a book store called Chapters close to Polo Park in Winnipeg. I was skimming a book whereThe author said that when he had to face a new challenge and found it somewhat overwhelming he would read a list of his successes that he had recorded. So now I am thinking of one:
When my supervisor decided not to renew mt contract for the year I decided not to take it personally. I decided with determination and positive thinking to move to an island close to where I had been working. I went about my days cheerfully and I appreciated the scenic beauty of the location. My daughter and I went swimming in the lake and on one occasion went canoeing. Then in a very short time I was offered a position to return to work in a much better professional spot. The previous supervisor did not get his contract renewed through no doing of mine. Now I have new challenges-living in the city, getting a new job, dealing with the mood changes of a teenager.

going to the forks
I have to go now as this is all new to me and a friend is picking me up to go to a place in Wiinipeg,Mb called the Forks where the red and Assinaboine river meet. It is an attractive tourist attraction. It is about 40 degrees below zero so I am going to prepare for the cold. However I love winter and often walk in these type of conditions as long as there is no wind.
astronaut with problems
In my opinion the lady from texas must have totally snapped and she is mentally ill. However you would also be inclined to think that close family members and friends and colleagues would have seen red flags. I am glad that the plan she had in mind did not actually materialize and that she failed in her attempt to do whatever she had planned. My sympathy is certainly expressed to her parents and her children and also to the relatives and friends of the victim. Is anyone thinking of her. when persons go on the journey of life they certainly need to be grounded with a strength of resilience and a few dashes of common sense. Why dig a deeper hole by making a bad situation worse!!!
